25 Cacti / Cactus Wedding Ideas You’ll Love

Cactus wedding ideas

It’s no secret that I love cacti and succulents. They’re beautiful, they’re low-maintenance, and they’re perfect for people who don’t want to spend hours caring for their plants. So when I got engaged last year, it was only natural that I would want to incorporate these desert plants into my wedding day! Here are some ideas on how you can use cactus and succulents as well:

Hanging cacti wedding ceremony backdrop

Decorate the ceremony backdrop with cacti. You can use a cactus frame as a place to hang the ceremony program, or you can add it to the decorations on either side of your aisle. Hang at least two frames in case one breaks and needs to be replaced mid-ceremony.

Cactus place cards

If you’re looking for a unique place card option, try making them out of real cacti and succulents! You can also make them out of clay or paper. If you don’t have the time or resources to create your own, there are plenty of companies that sell pre-made ones online.

Cactus guest book

If you’re looking for more unique wedding ideas, consider using a cactus guest book! There are plenty of ways to make it work. You can:

  • Use the cactus as your traditional guest book. Guests will write messages on cards and place them into the cacti.
  • Use the cactus as a favor instead of traditional favors or gifts (if you want). Guests will take home their own little plant baby.
  • Have guests write vows on cards and place them in the cacti for safekeeping until after your honeymoon (or just until you move out). You could also ask your husband-to-be to write down all his favorite things about you on separate pieces of paper; later on in life when things get tough, pull these out as reminders that he loves you no matter what—and then read them out loud while drinking champagne together!

Succulent bouquet

Succulents are a great choice for your wedding, especially if you live in a warm climate. They’re easy to care for and can be used as part of your decor or paired with other flowers to make an interesting bouquet. Consider using succulents that are in season at the time of your wedding, so they’ll be at their most colorful and lush. Make sure they match your wedding colors as well, so they integrate seamlessly into the overall look of the day.

Also consider that not all types of succulents are suitable for bouquets—some are better suited to being used as centerpieces or table arrangements; others might just be too heavy or delicate when handled by guests during cocktail hour! To avoid any potential problems on this front (and many others!), pick out only those varieties which have been safely tested by professionals before letting them loose on unsuspecting flower enthusiasts.

Desert escort card display

The desert is a beautiful place to get married. The colors are lush and the scenery is breathtaking. The cactus symbolizes strength, which can be used as inspiration for your wedding theme.

If you want to incorporate a cactus into your wedding decor, here are some ideas you can use:

  • Make an escort card display by attaching succulents to small pieces of wood or branches with wire or string. If you don’t have enough succulents for all the tables, try using artificial ones instead!
  • Add a succulent in the center of each table setting as a statement piece; this will also help guests find their seats more easily once dinner starts up again after cocktail hour has ended! You could even make sure that every guest gets one by placing them on top of their place cards (it’s easy enough if everyone uses real ones). If this sounds like too much work though, don’t worry – it’s totally fine just having one big centerpiece instead since they’re so pretty on their own too!

Cactus decor for the head table

Cacti and succulents are one of the easiest plants to grow, making them a great option for a green wedding. If you’re having your wedding in the desert, they can help keep things feeling fresh and interesting.

You can use cacti and succulents in all kinds of parts of your wedding.

When it comes to your wedding, you want to make sure that everything is beautiful. That’s why you should consider using cacti and succulents. These plants are easy to care for and will be a great addition to any event. From the ceremony to the reception, these plants can be used in all kinds of ways!

If you’re getting married outdoors or somewhere with plenty of sunlight, then cacti are an excellent choice because they don’t need much water at all. You can also get them in different sizes so they fit perfectly into whatever space you have available. You could also plant succulents in pots placed around your venue or even have a few hanging from trees with ribbons going through them!

Conclusion

With all this cactus wedding inspiration, it’s easy to see why so many brides-to-be are choosing the prickly plant as their theme. Whether you want to incorporate cacti into your ceremony backdrop or decorate with them in other ways, there’s no reason not to give this trend a try!
